Well I would have to say there were numerous films that got me hooked on horror and Sci-fi but the real kickers, the ones that started it all were Dawn Of The Dead, Alien and Star Wars when I was 5 or 6 you know those moments where your Dad falls asleep watching some strange scary movie it’s 3am and you get up in the middle of the night watching it while everyone else is asleep, you know what I’m talking about?
You can’t go back to sleep because you’re curious as to what the hell those sounds were and then you get where your eyes are glued to the point where you’re mesmerized and that’s when it happens, BAM! you’re scared out of your mind but you’re oddly drawn in to it all? Anyway more movies soon followed like The Stuff, Critters, Ghoulies, Gremlins that began to draw me in because of their not so in your face scare factor, they were more humorous than terrifying. And since then I’ve been hooked on horror and Sci-fi. It’s getting to be an addiction, the more I see, the more I want? And not only mainstream I also watch obscure, rare and foreign films. As far as my favorite genre goes the Classic Monster films, Classic Sci-fi and 80’s horror are definitely my favorites!
